The Features For The Blind.

Just over three years ago, the inventor interviewed almost 100 blind people regarding technology and how it affects them. From these interviews, Christopher came up with a six-point list that he wanted the software to solve.

1. It Does not require an Internet connection.

2. Easy access to help if you get lost.

3. It is difficult to remember the almost 400 shortcut keys to run a windows computer. Replace these shortcut keys with natural and easy-to-remember voice commands.

4. Put these voice commands in an organized and easily referenced menu that is instantly available. Also want to be able to execute the command from the menu.

5. Design a speech-to-text interface based on audio. In other words, using your voice and computer speakers to dictate and control your computer without the need for the screen.

6. Sell for an affordable price.

You will need a fully updated windows version on a computer with a minimum 1.6 GHz processor and 4 Gigs Of Ram.

The program is now done and tested. I figured out how to have Access guide you through a lesson in real-time. After putting these lessons together on how to use Speaking Access, I have a new appreciation for teachers.

In my mind, the nature of the software requires me to deliver a stable, helpful, and easy to learn experience.
